Perspective[s] is the result of the work contributed to the Freelance Task Force. This publication was led by Mele Broomes with support from Kim Simpson as Freelance Task Force members sponsored by National Theatre of Scotland. The resulting work was written and informed by Zoë Charlery and the hard copy designed by Christian Noelle Charles.

Perspective[s] is a collective statement drawn from consultations with 40 Black Scottish and Scottish based freelancers (African and Caribbean descent and those with mixed heritages) facilitated by Mele Broomes and Degna Stone.

Using VALUE and NAVIGATION as the discussion points. This offered dedicated time and space for freelancers to articulate challenges, share creative and individual experiences and imagine alternative futures in the creative industry. All contributors were paid for their labour, consultation, knowledge, insight, perspectives, and included: Musicians - Artists - Researcher - Dancers - Choreographers - Writers - Organisers - Curators - Producers - Theatre Makers - Directors - Performers
